UPLIFT ON SUSPENSION OF ALL TRANSIT GOODS TO THE DRC

Zambia Revenue Authority has UPLIFTED the ban on transits through Zambia of ALL products into DRC. This was after Ministerial delegations from DRC and Zambia reached an agreement on Friday 17th November 2017. The official communiqué was presented to both delegations for signing on the same night.

Duration
The ban lasted one full week.
​
Impact
1.Truck movement was restored on Saturday morning 18th November at all borders.
​
Reactive action plan
Zambia Customs & Forwarding Agents Association ( ZCFAA) has requested a debrief meeting with Zambia Minister of Commerce & Trade Industry, and Zambia Revenue Authority Commissioner General.
